Hinjawadi Residents Trapped Inside Society by Neighbor

Hinjawadi, Pune: Nearly 144 families with children residing in MP Residency, Marunji, Pune, close to the IT Park, have been placed under house arrest by a neighbor since this morning. The society’s main gate has been locked, causing fear and terror among the families.

According to the residents, the incident occurred due to a dispute between the society members and a farm owner adjacent to their society. One year ago, the society’s wall fell on the adjacent farm, and since then, the farm owner has been insisting that they rebuild the wall.

One of the residents of MP residency spoke to PunekarNews.in and said that they have reported the incidents to the police several times, but the authorities have continuously ignored their complaints.

“Since morning, the farm owner has locked us inside. We lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi Police Station in the morning, but our calls went unanswered. The police came to the area, but nothing happened. The said miscreant has also threatened the security guard not to tell anyone about the incident,” he added.

They have also appealed to the government to provide them with protection and ensure their safety. The situation remains tense, and the residents are anxiously waiting for the gate to be opened.
