Setting An Example: Social Worker Aba Bhise Personally Solves Severe Water Shortage at Chande Khurd Anganwadi & Primary School
Chande Khurd (Karjat): In a swift and humanitarian intervention, local social activist Aba Bhise has stepped in to resolve a critical water scarcity issue plaguing the Anganwadi and primary school at Chande Khurd village in Karjat taluka. Bypassing administrative red tape, Bhise financed and arranged immediate water solutions entirely out of his personal pocket, drawing deep appreciation from school staff, female Anganwadi workers, and the local community.
Severe Crisis at the Grassroots
For weeks, the village Anganwadi and primary school struggled with a severe lack of running water. The shortage threatened core daily operations—from children washing their hands to workers preparing daily nutritional meals (Poshan Aahar). Maintaining tree plantations and school sanitation had also become nearly impossible amid the local dry spell.
“Whether it was cooking midday meals or managing basic hygiene for small children, every day was an uphill battle,” said a female Anganwadi staff member. “The moment we brought the issue to Aba Bhise’s attention, he did not wait for government clearances or official funding. He funded the immediate arrangement on the spot. It has relieved us of an enormous burden.”
Community Calls Bhise a ‘True Humanitarian’
Rather than offering empty assurances, Bhise’s direct and immediate action has struck a chord with local residents.
“In rural areas facing drought-like situations, it is easy to point out problems, but the one who steps forward and solves them is a true humanitarian,” stated a resident of Chande Khurd. “His timely intervention for the school’s children, staff, and green cover is invaluable to our village.”
The school administration, village elders, and Anganwadi personnel have expressed formal gratitude and extended heartfelt congratulations to Aba Bhise for his prompt demonstration of public service and community care.
