23-Year-Old Pune Youth Goes Missing On Way to Job Interview in Kharadi; Kidnapping Case Registered

PUNE: A 23-year-old youth from Vadgaon Sheri has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after leaving home for a job interview in the Kharadi IT Park area. Suspecting abduction, his father lodged a formal complaint at the Chandan Nagar Police Station on Tuesday, leading police to register a case of suspected kidnapping against unknown individuals.

The missing youth has been identified as Abhijeet Vijay Tiwari (23), a resident of Mamata Society, Jupiter Complex, Lane No. 3, Vadgaon Sheri.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by his father, Vijay Kumar Tiwari (61), who works as a security supervisor in Viman Nagar, Abhijeet left home on his two-wheeler (TVS Jupiter, registration number MH 12 TF 2884) around 10:10 AM on October 3, 2026, heading toward Kharadi IT Park for a scheduled job interview.

When Abhijeet did not return by 8:30 PM, his father contacted him over the phone. Abhijeet informed him that he would be back shortly. However, when the family attempted to call him again around 11:00 PM, his mobile phone was switched off.

The family conducted searches across Kharadi IT Park, Pune Railway Station, and among his friend circle, but found no trace of him. Fearing that unidentified suspects may have unlawfully confined or kidnapped him, his father approached the police on October 6, 2026.
