Air India Fined Rs 30 Lakhs for Passenger Urination Incident on Nov 26 Flight

Air India (AI) has been slapped with a fine of Rs 30 lakhs by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for violation of rules on a flight that took place on November 26th. The pilot-in-command of the flight has also had his license suspended for three months for failing to discharge his duties. Additionally, the DGCA has imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakhs on Air India’s Director-in-flight services for the incident.

According to the DGCA, a passenger on the flight was caught urinating in the aisle of the plane, and despite the pilot being informed of the incident, he failed to take appropriate action. The DGCA has stated that this constitutes a serious violation of rules and regulations, and has taken action accordingly.

Air India has stated that they will be reviewing the incident and taking steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. The company has also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers on the flight.
