NCP leader Ajit Pawar slams Eknath Shinde, says he will not resign even in his dreams
Mumbai, 11 May 2023: NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said that there is no need of demanding resignation from the current CM Eknath Shinde on moral grounds. He also said that there is a huge difference between former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the current people.
Pawar was speaking to the media after attending a meeting of the NCP legislature party at the party headquarters in Mumbai.
When asked about the demand for resignation from the current CM, Pawar said, “There is no need of demanding resignation from the current CM Eknath Shinde on moral grounds. We know he will not resign even in his dreams.”
He also said that there is a huge difference between former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the current people.
“Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee had resigned from the PM post after the Babri Masjid demolition. But the current people are not like him. They will not resign even if they are caught red-handed,” Pawar said.
Pawar also said that the NCP will continue to fight for the rights of the people of Maharashtra.
“We will continue to fight for the rights of the people of Maharashtra. We will not let the BJP-led government to do injustice to the people,” Pawar said.
The NCP leader also said that the party will not be affected by the defection of some MLAs.
“The NCP is a strong party. We will not be affected by the defection of some MLAs. We will continue to fight for the rights of the people,” Pawar said.
