Chandigarh, May 22, 2023: In a major breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police arrested four shooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on Monday. The accused have been identified as Mehfooz alias Vishal Khan, Manjeet Singh alias Guri, Ankit and Goldy. Six pistols and 26 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.

The arrested accused have a criminal history with a number of criminal cases registered against them in Punjab and Haryana. They were allegedly planning to carry out a major crime in the state.

The AGTF had received a tip-off that the accused were planning to commit a crime in Mohali. A team of AGTF officials laid a trap and arrested the accused from a hideout in Mohali.

The arrested accused have been produced in court and have been remanded in police custody. The AGTF is interrogating the accused to get more information about their plans and other associates.

The arrest of the four shooters is a major blow to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The AGTF is committed to breaking the back of the gang and bringing the criminals to justice.

DGP Gaurav Yadav Speaks

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the arrest of the four shooters is a major success for the AGTF. He said that the AGTF is working tirelessly to break the back of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and bring the criminals to justice.

The DGP said that the AGTF is also working to prevent any major crime from happening in the state. He said that the AGTF has a strong network of informers and is always on the lookout for any suspicious activity.

The DGP appealed to the people of Punjab to cooperate with the police and share any information about the criminals. He said that the police will ensure the safety and security of all the citizens of the state.
