Keshavnagar, Mundhwa : Vidhi Sangharsh Activist Brutally Attacked in Mundhwa

Keshavnagar, Mundhwa : In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old boy named Sitaram Sathe, a member of the Vidhi Sangharsh group, was brutally attacked in Mundhwa on May 3, 2023. According to sources, Sitaram and his fellow activists were at Pan Tapri in Lohakar Chowk, Keshavnagar, Mundhwa when they were accosted by a group of people demanding repayment of a cigarette debt.

Sitaram and his friends refused to pay, citing that they had not taken any cigarettes on credit. This led to an altercation, during which the group of people attacked Sitaram and his friends with wooden sticks and sharp weapons. Sitaram sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

The police have registered a case under section 147/2023 and 326/34 of the Indian Penal Code against the perpetrators of the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to identify and apprehend the culprits.
