Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Protests Against Metro Recruitment Advertisement in Patna
Pune, May 23, 2023: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) staged a protest today in the administrative office of the Pune Metro, demanding that the advertisement for metro recruitment in Pune should be done in Maharashtra instead of in Patna, Bihar.
The MNS activists, led by Sainath Babar, alleged that the Pune Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMPRCL) is giving preference to candidates from Bihar in the recruitment process. They said that this is unfair to the local Marathi youth, who are more qualified and deserving of these jobs.
The PMPRCL has not yet responded to the MNS’s demands.
In a tweet, MNS leader Sainath Babar said, “We have protested against the metro recruitment advertisement in Patna. We demand that the recruitment process should be done in Maharashtra and local Marathi youth should be given preference.”

The MNS’s protest comes at a time when the state government is facing criticism for not doing enough to provide jobs to the youth. The opposition parties have accused the government of failing to create jobs and of giving preference to outsiders in government jobs.
The MNS’s protest is likely to put pressure on the state government to take steps to provide jobs to the youth.
