The Pune Municipal Corporation Social Development Department has announced a scheme to provide financial assistance to backward class college students studying 11th and onwards to buy a bicycle. The scheme is aimed at helping students from economically weaker sections of society to travel to their colleges and universities.

To avail the scheme, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• They must be enrolled in a recognized college or university in Pune.
• They must belong to a backward class.
• Their family income must be below a certain limit.

The financial assistance will be provided in the form of a one-time grant. The grant will be used to purchase a bicycle. The bicycle must be purchased from a registered dealer.
