Pune Municipal Corporation Announces Financial Assistance Scheme for Backward Class College Students to Buy Bicycles
To avail the scheme, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- They must be enrolled in a recognized college or university in Pune.
- They must belong to a backward class.
- Their family income must be below a certain limit.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the scheme online. The application form can be found on the Pune Municipal Corporation website. The last date to apply for the scheme is June 30, 2023.
The amount of financial assistance that a student will receive under the scheme will depend on their family income. The maximum amount of assistance that a student can receive is Rs. 5,000.
The financial assistance will be provided in the form of a one-time grant. The grant will be used to purchase a bicycle. The bicycle must be purchased from a registered dealer.
The Pune Municipal Corporation Social Development Department has launched this scheme to help backward class college students to travel to their colleges and universities. The scheme will help students from economically weaker sections of society to continue their education.
