Pune: Two held for duping people of Rs 1.5 crore in fake job racket
Pune, May 20 (ANI): The Pune police have arrested two persons for duping people of Rs 1.5 crore in a fake job racket. The accused have been identified as Sachin Gaikwad (32) and Nilesh Jadhav (35).
The police said that the accused had set up a fake company called “ABC Consultants” and were duping people by promising them jobs in the Gulf countries. They would ask the victims to pay a certain amount of money for the job and then would disappear.

The police said that they had received several complaints from people who had been duped by the accused. They said that they had tracked down the accused and arrested them.
The police have seized Rs 1 lakh cash, laptops, and mobile phones from the accused. They are further investigating the matter.
The police have appealed to the people to be careful of such fraudsters and to not pay any money to anyone who promises them jobs in the Gulf countries. They have also asked the people to verify the authenticity of the company before applying for a job.
