Pune, 4rd May 2023: Thousands of travelers faced massive traffic jams on the Pune-Mumbai expressway on Wednesday morning, causing significant disruptions to vehicular traffic. The congestion was primarily concentrated around the Amrutanjan bridge, a popular route for tourists heading towards the nearby hill stations.
The heavy traffic was due to the long weekend and an increased number of people traveling to various tourist destinations. As the day progressed, the situation worsened, with traffic remaining at a standstill for hours.
